About Clair - a.k.a Georgie
Clair DeGeorge is a professional ice hockey forward for the Toronto Sceptres of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL). A standout from her early days, Clair grew up playing boys' hockey in Alaska before moving to Minnesota to compete at the renowned Shattuck-Saint Mary’s, where she helped her team win four consecutive national championships. She went on to have a stellar collegiate career, playing at Bemidji State and Ohio State, where she led the Buckeyes to their first NCAA National Championship in 2022.
Clair has represented the United States internationally, earning a gold medal at the 2017 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship. In 2024, she added another milestone to her career by winning the inaugural Walter Cup with PWHL Minnesota. Off the ice, Clair combines her passion for sports and helping others—she’s been a Strong Girls United mentor and is a nurse!
Our Mission
This camp aims to create a kind, empowering space where young girls in Alaska can build confidence and a love for the game, while seeing that a future in professional women’s hockey is within their reach.
